Red Bull Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey's wife Amanda advised fans to not believe the reports of the aero wizard joining any teams on the grid for the 2025 season. The legendary designer ended his 19-year partnership with the Austrian team ahead of the Miami GP this year and stopped his F1 duties.

The Milton-Keynes-outfit has won every single championship in their F1 journey with Newey-designed cars ever since the 2010 season. However, the 65-year-old pointed out in his departure statement that his remaining days with Red Bull, which would see him leave the team in early 2025, would be focused on the final phase of the RB17 hypercar.

On her social media platform, X, Amanda Newey too informed the same while sharing a couple of pictures of her husband Adrian Newey during the Goodwood Festival of Speed with his grandson. She wrote:

"Please don't be misled by sensational clickbait headlines and speculative media. Adrian's primary focus at the moment is the RB17 with Red Bull Advanced Technology. Here is a photo of him with his grandson and an RB17 ‘pig’. Blake "tried to understand what he was saying".

Adrian Newey alongside Red Bull team principal Christian Horner unveiled the RB17 hypercar on day two of the Goodwood Festival of Speed last week after much anticipation.

Adrian Newey provides an update regarding his future in F1

Adrian Newey stated that he was 'flattered' to be linked with several teams on the grid such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, and McLaren but admitted that he does not read the news often.

In his exclusive interview with F1.com, the aero wizard said:

“Yeah, it is. I have to admit, I don’t read the press very much, but of course, I hear [things]. Amanda, my wife, kind of follows it and gives me a rough update, so yes, it’s very flattering, of course.”

While providing an update on his future in F1, he added:

“Ultimately, it’s not why I do the job. From the age of 10 or 11, I always wanted to be a designer in motor racing, and I’ve managed to achieve that, so everything else is a bonus really.
"My passion has always been trying to add performance to cars, to race cars, so the rest is, of course, part of it, but it’s not what wakes me up and motivates me.”

After initial interest from Ferrari, the rumors of him joining the Italian team have fizzled out in favor of his reported move to Aston Martin. The iconic British brand reportedly showed Newey the new factory in Silverstone while sending the staff away to avoid any leaks. However, neither the team nor Newey had confirmed that he visited the factory as of yet.
