Fans hit back at McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown as he claimed that Max Verstappen pushes the rules to the limit while driving. He further claimed that his rivals have to remind Verstappen of that boundary.

Max Verstappen has won three consecutive World Championships since 2021 and is on the lookout for his fourth. Although he dominated the grid in the previous two seasons, his rivalry with Lewis Hamilton in 2021 was one of the closest that F1 ever witnessed. The drivers went wheel-to-wheel multiple times even causing them to crash out.

The Dutchman follows an aggressive driving style, pushing his car to the limit. McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown recently shared his thoughts on the same. Discussing Verstappen's driving style, he stated that the 27-year-old regularly pushes the rules to the limit.

"Max is an incredible racing driver who pushes the rules to the limit. But you have to show him where the limits are," Brown claimed (via RBR Daily on X). "If that isn't done, you'll end up with scenes like the one between Lewis and Max in 2021, when Lewis said to himself: enough is enough. I don't think we want to go back to that."

Fans took savage digs against Brown for his comments on social media. Like this user wrote:

"Probably the most annoying team principal. focus on your car and drivers and dont give press conferences about other people/teams"
"Why does Zak even bother to open his mouth. Seriously" another user commented.
"I'm a McLaren fan but man Zak really is trying to convince me otherwise," a fan wrote.

Some users also defended Verstappen's driving, claiming that it keeps him competitive.

"Race week means Zak Brown comments. Max needs to end it this weekend," a comment read.

Lando Norris on his friendship with Max Verstappen and how it has affected the title fight

Max Verstappen had a strong start to the season but Red Bull was ultimately caught up by their competitors. While he did not win any races between Spain and Brazil, he still managed to remain at the top of the championship standings.

Lando Norris emerged as his rival for the title. The Brit is battling for his first title, meanwhile McLaren is seeking their first Constructors' championship since 1998. Discussing his friendship with Verstappen off the track and how it has affected the title fight, Norris said:

"I don’t know, I’m split. In some ways, you kind of think how someone can be personally and how you can get along with people can be so different to how you are on track. It’s such a different world there on the track to here doing this [in the paddock]. It’s my first time being in this situation, and time will tell how that changes. But for now I still respect Max, I think he respects me, but maybe ask me again at the end of the year!"

Heading into Las Vegas, if Max Verstappen manages to win the race, he will clinch his fourth World Championship. Meanwhile, Lando Norris would have to beat him by a margin of a minimum of three points to keep the title fight alive.
