Michael Schumacher suffered a ski accident in the French Alps back in 2013. Despite wearing a helmet during the outing with his son Mick Schumacher, the former F1 driver hit his head on the rock.

The German former driver was immediately airlifted to Grenoble Hospital and was placed in a medically induced coma for months. He reportedly needs constant round-the-clock intensive care for his treatment.

Schumacher returned to his Switzerland home near Geneva in 2014 and has been under medical care since by his wife, Corinna Schumacher, and a team of medical professionals.
