Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claimed that the title fight between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris will continue until the end of the 2024 season. The British driver added another race win to his name in Singapore after he dominated the weekend and took another seven points off the three-time world champion's lead in the driver's championship.

The McLaren driver won by a margin of over 20 seconds for the second time in four races and was never challenged by the Dutch driver, starting in P2. Assessing the current state of the championship, Horner mentioned that they would fight until the end with Verstappen as he still has a 52-point lead over Norris.

As per F1only, the Red Bull team boss commented that they would fight hard in the remaining six races of the season and said:

"I think we're going to fight until the end of the championship. We're 52 points ahead [in the drivers' championship] with six races to go, there's a lot of races left, a lot of points to play for.
"There's a lot of races left to go and we're definitely going to fight hard in the next triple-header [three-race series] and then the last one after that." Horner said.

Lando Norris must be perfect for the remainder of the season and win everything to have a chance for his maiden title as he cannot afford any slip-ups.

Lando Norris gives his take on the title battle with Max Verstappen after Singapore

Speaking with Sky Sports after the Singapore Grand Prix, McLaren driver Lando Norris said he was hopeful that the title fight with Max Verstappen would go down till the end as he had a lot of points to catch up in the standings.

"I hope so. I still have a lot of points I've got to catch up and it's not going to be easy to do it. It's against Red Bull and it's against Max, the most dominant pairing you've ever seen in Formula 1, from last year. And that's not necessarily changed in terms of… It's the same team and it's the same driver," Lando Norris said.
"So, I have some of the toughest competition that Formula 1 has ever seen in the sport. I'm working my heart out, I'm working my butt off, to try and make sure that happens. He's trying to make sure it doesn't happen. So we'll have to wait and find out."

Verstappen can prevent Norris from winning the championship in the 2024 season if he finishes P2 in the remaining six races and three Sprints. However, given the trajectory of the RB20 in the past couple of races and the threat of Ferrari and Mercedes finishing ahead of them, it would be pretty difficult for the three-time world champion to finish on the podium every single race.
