Apart from his skills on the race track, seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is known for his witty nature. The Mercedes-AMG racer poked fun at British commentator David Croft during a recent interaction with young fans.
Hamilton became a trailblazer in 2008 by becoming the first black driver to win an F1 championship. The Briton further went on to win six more titles with Mercedes-AMG. This made him an inspiration for F1 fans around the world.
Over the past couple of years, Hamilton has been interacting with younger fans, spreading awareness about Formula 1. In a recent interaction, the 39-year-old racer surprised a bunch of youngsters who were commentating on one of Hamilton's older races alongside Croft. Speaking on the topic of commentating, Hamilton joked about how easily they could replace the British commentator if they focused on studying.
"Practicing, keep working hard at school. So you can come and take his (Croft's) job. Should be pretty easy to take his job," He said (0:00 onwards)

The Mercedes-AMG star believes that the struggles he faced throughout his childhood helped him become one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1. He spoke about the same in an interview with Wired.co.uk in 2021.
"I think what makes me the driver I am today, yes it’s the ability, but I would say it’s the hunger. I’m so grateful for it, man. If we didn’t have that struggle I couldn’t drive the way I do today," Hamilton had commented.
This is probably what drove the #44 driver to create Mission 44, a charitable fund to create more opportunities for youngsters to become a part of motorsport in the UK.
