Geri Halliwell, Spice Girl singer and wife of Christian Horner, congratulated her husband on his induction as a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by King Charles at Buckingham Palace. The Red Bull team principal received the honor at the New Year's Investitures held in the palace on December 18, 2024.

Red Bull Racing, one of the powerhouses of F1, has won six constructors and eight drivers championships in the past decade. Team principal Horner has been a key part of the team's success. Having joined as team principal in 2005, the Brit devoted himself to rebuilding the team from the ground.

To honor his services to motorsports, King Charles of the United Kingdom conferred the 51-year-old with the title of Commander of the British Empire (CBE). Horner, alongside Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan, received the honor at the New Year's Investitures held at Buckingham Palace.

To support her husband, Spice Girl singer Geri Halliwell also attended the event. She took to Instagram to congratulate Christian Horner and stated that she takes pride in his achievements.

"Today I had the honour of accompanying @christianhorner as he was made a Commander of the British Empire by his Majesty the King at Buckingham Palace. As a family, we are all incredibly proud of everything you have achieved in your 20 years @redbullracing and I know the Team feel the same. You are a leader, an innovator and a pathfinder and this distinction is a reflection of your dedication and services to motorsport. Congratulations!" she wrote.

Halliwell married the British team principal in 2015, and the couple have three children.

Meanwhile, Red Bull had a tough season in 2024 as they lost the constructors title to McLaren. While Max Verstappen clinched his fourth title in a row, his team couldn't sustain the pressure of growing competition. For the upcoming season, RB has replaced Sergio Perez with Liam Lawson, terminating the Mexican driver's two-year extension contract.

Red Bull may have terminated Sergio Perez's two-year extension deal, but the Mexican driver has yet to completely part ways. In an interview with GP Blog, team boss Christian Horner revealed that Checo will continue to be a brand ambassador for the team in 2025. He added that Perez needed the sabbatical to prioritize his family.

"It was right for both of us just to step back for him to step out of the car and take a bit of time with his family and work out what he wants to do. He's still going to be involved with the team, he'll be doing a couple of show runs with us during next year. It was right for him because it wasn't enjoyable for him either, getting all this scrutiny and pressure and expectation every weekend," said Horner.

Red Bull Racing lost the constructors championship in 2024 after Perez lagged 285 points behind his teammate and world champion Max Verstappen. Red Bull and Checo subsequently decided to mutually part ways and Racing Bulls rookie driver Liam Lawson will get an opportunity to showcase his talent in the upcoming season as Verstappen's teammate.
