Popular Dutch DJ Martin Garrix has criticized Red Bull for bidding Daniel Ricciardo a proper farewell after the Australian was sacked by them from the RB team. He expressed his displeasure on his Instagram stories.
The official announcement of Ricciardo's departure from the team arrived on September 26. After the announcement, he thanked everyone he has worked with in F1 with a touching message shared on his own social media accounts.
However, many fans were disappointed in Red Bull for not making his departure a more grand event. Ricciardo raced in the Singapore GP and left the paddock for good after a few applause and hugs from team members and other drivers on the grid.
This thought was echoed by the DJ as well. Garrix, who's net worth is $30,000,000 (according to Celebritynetworth.com) recently shared his thoughts along with a picture of a New York Times article about Ricciardo's goodbye no being a "proper F1 farewell." He criticized Red Bull by writing that the driver who made his F1 bow 13 years ago , deserved better from the the team.
He wrote,
"After 13 years in the sport, this is not how you say goodbye @redbullracing"

Prior to the Singapore GP, rumors were circulating that Ricciardo might be removed from RB after the race since Red Bull intended to replace him with Liam Lawson, their reserve driver. Following the Grand Prix at Marina Bay, Ricciardo hugged several drivers and paddock members and received applause from his team, hinting that he would soon be leaving RB and F1 as a whole.
Red Bull team boss wrote an emotional farewell message for Daniel Ricciardo
As Daniel Ricciardo departs the RB team and F1, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner wrote an emotional letter expressing gratitude and admiration towards the Australian.
Horner posted several pictures of Ricciardo on his official Instagram account and praised the Australian driver's upbeat persona. He added that the Australian would always have a place in Red Bull's F1 legacy. He said,
"From the moment you arrived at Red Bull it was obvious you were so much more than just a driver. Your constant enthusiasm, sense of humour and attitude will leave an indelible legacy on the Team here in Milton Keynes and F1 as a whole. Thank you for the wins, smiles, songs (and I wish I could say the shoeys), you will always be a special part of the Red Bull Family."
During his Formula Renault 2.0 days, Daniel Ricciardo joined the Red Bull family as a junior driver. He began working with Red Bull's headhoncho when he joined F1 with Toro Rosso (currently RB) in 2012.
