Red Bull boss Christian Horner has laughed off the suggestions that the team could win all 22 races this season. The car produced by the reigning champions has been mighty impressive this year, with the team having won all the races comfortably so far.

Except Baku, where Charles Leclerc drove brilliantly, Red Bull has secured pole position in every race as well. Such has been the dominance of the Austrian outfit that Mercedes driver George Russell has suggested that the team could end up winning every race this season.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner denied such claims, stating that the prospect of winning every single race would be "unimaginable" in an interview with Financial Times. He said:

“I think that’s a massively tall order. I mean, you’ve got 23 events, street circuits, there’s gonna be weather that turns up. There’s gonna be reliability, strategy, an element of luck. So I think to win 23 races is unimaginable. We’ve won the first five [races] and that already feels like it’s by far the best start we’ve ever had to a grand prix season. We just to keep that going as long as we can, take one race at a time and not think about trying to win 23 races.”

There's always things that can change: Red Bull boss

Given the variety of the major upgrade packages scheduled for the European leg by various rivals like Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin, Horner admitted that the landscape could change very quickly this season. He said:

“There’s always things that can change. We’re now heading back into the European season, where it’s the first round [in which] the big upgrades are coming, and if you believe Mercedes they have a completely new car coming, Ferrari have upgrades coming and the competition will start to come through."

Horner added that while Red Bull might currently have an edge, other teams could turn things around in the remaining races this season.

"It is still early days. I mean, it’s very easy to get carried away with what’s going on here and now, but there’s the developments that are coming in the pipeline I’m sure with other teams that are only going to converge the grid.”

For now, though, it's hard to deny that Red Bull will be the favorite going into every race of the season given the unparalleled speed of their car.
