Charles Leclerc was recently spotted accidentally hitting a car with his Ferrari Purosangue on the streets of Monaco recently. He was visible inside his car when he leaned forward to check the hit.

After winning the Italian GP for the second time in his career in 2024, Leclerc was seen relaxing in his hometown in Monaco during a week's break before the Azerbaijan GP. During this time, a fan captured him driving his Ferrari SUV around up the Grand Hotel hairpin in usual traffic.

After the traffic stopped at the hairpin, Leclerc closed the gap to the car ahead but accidentally bumped into the black minivan. He immediately realized his mistake and backed up slightly.

After this, he leaned forward inside the car to check the front and his face was clearly visible as the sun shone on him. When the camera zoomed in on the car, it visibly showed no signs of damage from a distance.

Funnily enough, the fan who took the clip added Leclerc's crash audio from the 2019 Azerbaijan GP in the clip. After the crash, the Monegasque said on the radio that he was stupid, which the F1 fan perfectly matched after the Ferrari driver bumped into the car in Monaco.

In the 2024 F1 season, Leclerc has won two races, one in his hometown in Monaco, and the other one in Ferrari's home in Monza. After winning the Italian GP recently, he told F1.com that these are the two most important races in a season for him.

He currently stands in third place in the drivers' championship with 217 points. He is chasing McLaren's Lando Norris (241 points) and defending world champion Max Verstappen (303 points).

Charles Leclerc expresses his emotions after winning his home GP in Monaco

In May 2024, Charles Leclerc finally won his first home GP in Monaco. The Ferrari driver led the entirety of the race from pole position and clinched the chequered flag.

In his post-race interview with former F1 world champion Jenson Button, he said that no words can explain how he was feeling at that moment. He recalled how the Monaco GP made him a fan of F1 and ignited the fire inside him to become a racing driver and win the race one day.

"No words can explain that. It's such a difficult race, I think the fact twice I've been starting on pole position and we couldn't quite make it makes it even better in a way. It means a lot, obviously. It's the race which made me dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver one day," Leclerc said.

Charles Leclerc remembered his father's contribution to his career and was delighted to have fulfilled their collective dream to win in the Principality.

"Fifteen laps to the end you're hoping nothing happens and the emotions are coming. My dad has given everything for me to be here and it was a dream of ours for me to race here and win here, so it's unbelievable," he added.
