Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo and MotoGP legend Marc Marquez were both seen enjoying each other's company during a promotional event for the Red Bull energy drink brand. Both motorsport icons are part of the Red Bull family and have been associated with them for more than a decade.
Marquez and Ricciardo are arguably two of the biggest names in the world of motorsports and are recognized instantly across the globe. They both were spotted racing in the Alinghi Red Bull Racing sailing race.
In a video floating on social media, both Red Bull men seemed to have enjoyed the experience of racing in a sailboat that can touch 90 km/h in the water. However, it was Daniel Ricciardo who came out on top against Marc Marquez but both agreed on a truce.
As per Crash.net, Daniel Ricciardo spoke about his experience and compared it to Marquez's skills on the road, saying:
“When you come out of the water foiling, the boats go so fast, the agility and everything's really precise. You also feel the wind as we do – and Marc does on his bike – but unless it’s a wet race we don't really get the water that much. So every now and then you hit a wave and get covered with water!”

VCARB driver Daniel Ricciardo stated that the Circuit de Catalunya's layout presents an opportunity for every team to bring their upgrades for the season as the track is a good mixture of medium and high-speed corners.
As per PitPass, the eight-time race winner pointed out that having missed out on last year's race, he was excited to race at the redesigned last sector in Barcelona. He said:
"I'm excited to drive it with the faster last sector that they changed for last year. I'm looking forward to getting back on that track. Normally, it's quite familiar but we didn't do any testing there this year, so should be fun. I'm looking forward to keeping this run going, trying to get some more Q3 appearances and points finishes.
"I've been waiting a while, but I like to think it's the start of where my season continues to progress and show performances like I did in Montreal. Really looking forward to it and excited to get the European leg started!"
Daniel Ricciardo has only scored on two occasions in the 2024 season, his P4 finish in the Miami Sprint and the P8 at the Canadian GP in Montreal.
Despite being in a competitive car, he has only scored nine points in nine races and two Sprints as compared to his teammate Yuki Tsunoda's 19 points in the 2024 season.
