Williams F1 driver Franco Colapinto refused to acknowledge former F1 driver and pundit Martin Brundle during the latter's famous grid walk ahead of the US Grand Prix on Sunday. Brundle's Sky Sports segment 'Grid Walk' is a huge attraction for the fans watching from their homes as the former F1 driver navigates his way through a hectic grid before the start of the race.

The segment has been airing for over two decades and produced some memorable moments. Many diehard celebrity fans of the sport have been more than happy to share their views and speak to Brundle on the grid.

However, in a clip floating on social media, Franco Colapinto wasn't overtly keen to speak to Martin Brundle during his 'Grid Walk' segment ahead of starting the main race at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday and completely blanked the former Benetton driver.

The 65-year-old attempted to introduce him to the young Argentine driver and said:

"Hello, my name is Martin Brundle, Sky - we have not met. Can we have a chat?"

However, Colapinto continued to walk through the crowd, completely ignoring Brundle's request.

Franco Colapinto analyzes his US GP after finishing in the points

Williams F1 driver Franco Colapinto was satisfied after finishing P10 at the US Grand Prix on Sunday and successfully bounced back from a disappointing qualifying session where he went out in Q1, finishing P17, a place behind his teammate Alex Albon.

Speaking with F1.com, the 21-year-old said:

"After a tough Saturday, we managed to bounce back in the race. We showed great strength as a team to turn it around today. RB, Haas, and Alpine have all been strong this weekend so it was going to be difficult to get in the points. I knew we had a good race pace and when I found my rhythm in the clean air we really pushed on."
"I’ve learned a lot from my first Sprint weekend which can only benefit me going forward. I still need to keep learning to help the team progress in the right direction. Hopefully, we can build on this in the next two races of the triple header," he added.

Williams sporting director Sven Smeets too was impressed by the rookie's performance and added:

"A great first long stint kept him in the running for points and when Magnussen stopped for a second time, we decided to pit Franco for his only stop. He just came out in front and from then onwards he showed great pace till the end securing P10 and a valuable point."

After scoring another point in F1, Franco Colapinto has moved clear of Alpine driver Esteban Ocon in the standings despite both of them being level on 5 points and now occupying P18.
