Charles Leclerc received a massive cheer from a few fans as he was leaving Monza during the 2024 F1 Italian GP. His followers cheered his name while the Monegasque driver was seen beaming in his car with a Ferrari team member.

Leclerc has always been loved by Italian fans. In his first season with the Italian team, he won his second race in the sport at the 2019 F1 Italian GP. Furthermore, he has been with Ferrari for almost six years now and has expressed his passion to stay and win championships with them. This year, Charles Leclerc realized another dream of his own by winning his home race in Monaco with Ferrari.

On the first day of the Italian GP, the Monegasque was P2 in the first practice session and P5 in the second practice session. When Leclerc was leaving Monza at the end of the day, several fans spotted him exiting. Surrounding his car, the fans started chanting his name as the F1 driver sat in his car with a few Ferrari team members and smiled at his fans.

Charles Leclerc delighted with a P3 finish at the Dutch GP

Charles Leclerc recently said that he was satisfied even with a P3 finish at the 2024 F1 Dutch GP. Speaking right after the race in parc-ferme, he detailed how he and Ferrari struggled at Zandvoort in previous race sessions. Hence, he was happy and also surprised with a P3 finish.

"Very surprised! I'm not very often happy with P3 but with today's race we can be extremely happy with the job we have done on a difficult weekend for the team," Leclerc said.

Leclerc then praised the team for executing a great pitstop which gave him the advantage over drivers like Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz. He once again expressed that he never thought that he would stand on the Dutch GP podium after a tough race weekend.

"We have been struggling from Friday until the race. In the race we found some more pace, executed a perfect strategy. We undercut two of our competitors, then managed to keep them behind. A really strong race for the team. I never thought I would stand on the podium after such a difficult weekend for the team," he added.

At the moment, Ferrari is third in the constructors' championship with 370 points. They are chasing second-placed McLaren (404 points) and championship leaders and defenders Red Bull (434 points).
