Lance Stroll had an on-track collision with Lewis Hamilton during the third practice session of the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix. Stroll hit Hamilton during the former's flying lap at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Formula 1 is in Spain for the 10th race of the 2024 season. After an eventful race in Canada, the stakes are high as multiple drivers are ready to take on Max Verstappen at Barcelona. McLaren and Ferrari cut off their disadvantage to a great extent, with Mercedes and Aston Martin following up.

As Mercedes and Aston Martin gear up to throw their challenges at rivals, Stroll and Hamilton's collision stole all the limelight. While it wasn't a race-ruining collision, the hit indeed drew reactions from both drivers.

Upon hitting Stroll while he was trying to turn left from the outside, Hamilton remarked over the radio,

"I didn't see him, my bad."

On the other hand, the Aston Martin driver responded on the radio as well. He said,

"This **** guy thinks he's alone on track."

Besides them, Lando Norris of McLaren and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari also had a similar moment on the track during the FP3. The Monegasque driver drove into the Briton while overtaking the latter around the outside.

In the process, Leclerc collected Norris' front right tire with his left rear tire and made the latter unstable. However, the FIA took both Hamilton and Leclerc's offense into cognizance but is yet to reveal a verdict as of now.

While Lewis Hamilton is no longer a candidate up front, his FP2 performance surely surprised many. The Mercedes driver finished the second practice session in P1, ahead of Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and McLaren's Lando Norris.

Hamilton pulled off an impressive 1:13.264 on the timesheet, which was two-hundredth as well as five-hundredth faster than the Ferrari, and McLaren driver, respectively.

However, Hamilton's performance in FP1 and FP3 was nowhere near his FP2 valiance. The seven-time world champion finished the FP1 in P7 and FP3 in P6. As the Qualifying session is just the wait of the hour now, it will be interesting to see how Lewis Hamilton manages to perform.

The Qualifying is of immense importance at Barcelona. Going by the statistics, 30 out of 33 races, the drivers who started from the front row went on to win the race. This shows why the likes of Verstappen, Leclerc, and Norris would want to give their all on Saturday and give the seven-time champion a hard time on the track.
