Lewis Hamilton willing to work with George Russell to keep Lando Norris behind in the British GP
Lewis Hamilton was delighted after securing second place in qualifying for the British GP. He was willing to work with his teammate, George Russell, to keep third-placed Lando Norris at bay.
The qualifying session for the British GP saw three British drivers bagging the top three spots on the grid. Mercedes' George Russell took pole position, while Lewis Hamilton and McLaren's Lando Norris secured P2 and P3, respectively.
Speaking in the post-qualifying interview, he explained how George Russell was able to shave off more time which allowed him to bag pole position. Nonetheless, the seven-time world champion said he was delighted with the way the Mercedes W15 felt.
"I think the car felt great. It was just about getting the tire temperatures in the right place. And, you know, sealing the deal when you had the time on the track. I think ultimately there was still time left on the table, which George was able to find. I feel really confident about the car tomorrow. And with the conditions we have, we can work together we can keep Lando behind."
