WATCH: Max Verstappen makes fun of “horny” Daniel Ricciardo during the Spanish Grand Prix

Max Verstappen on podium after winning the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix

The entertainment continues even after the successful race weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. A fan page, primarily dedicated to Max Verstappen, has shared a lighthearted moment between the Red Bull Racing driver and Daniel Ricciardo on X.

The said video seems to be from before the race last Sunday (June 23). It begins with Verstappen talking about Ricciardo in Dutch, with the latter seemingly agreeing with the former. However, the reigning Formula 1 world champion then starts to pull the leg of his former Australian teammate by translating his statement into English. This light-hearted teasing leads to both drivers laughing loudly and enjoying the moment.

The post highlights the bromance between Verstappen and Ricciardo, despite having some harsh on-track memories from their time together at Red Bull Racing. Take a look at the X post by @SCUDERIAFEMBOY:

The video begins with Verstappen saying:

"We zijn hier in Barcelona met deze geile man Daniel, en hij gaat veel vrouwenharten stelen dit weekend (We're here in Barcelona with this horny man Daniel, and he's going to steal a lot of women's hearts this weekend)."

While Ricciardo doesn't understand Dutch, he trusts the triple-world champion and responds:

"Yep, gezelligheid (which roughly translates to 'Yep, coziness')." 0:07 onwards.

While Verstappen won the Spanish Grand Prix after starting second on the grid, the No. 3 driver from Racing Bulls had a dismal weekend, qualifying in 18th position and ending the race in 15th position, one lap behind the former.

Max Verstappen shared a lighthearted moment with Lewis Hamilton before the post-race press conference began in Barcelona

The Spanish Grand Prix was full of surprises from the get-go. The race was a hard-fought battle for the front runners. Mercedes-AMG's George Russell grabbed the lead on lap one, while McLaren and Red Bull Racing engaged in a strategic battle to maximize the chances of winning for their drivers, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, respectively.

However, the fun seemed to continue even after the chequered flag was waved. Just ahead of the mandatory post-race press conference, Lewis Hamilton was seen taking a nap on the couch after the demanding race. Seizing the opportunity, Verstappen commented:

"I think Lewis is feeling his age catching up with him"

For reference, Hamilton (39 years) happens to be the second-most oldest driver on the 2024 Formula 1 grid behind the Spanish double world champion Fernando Alonso (43 years).

The Dutchman's quick-witted yet playful jab at the seven-time F1 world champion made everyone laugh, including Hamilton. It is moments like these that showcase the mutual respect between both champions, despite their fierce rivalry.

With Mercedes-AMG making good progress with the W15 race car, we might see the Titans clash on the battlefield soon.
