Watch: Will Smith makes an appearance in the Ferrari garage as he tags Charles Leclerc in a social media story

Popular Hollywood star Will Smith was recently spotted as a guest in Ferrari's garage during the 2024 F1 Azerbaijan GP on Saturday. The American actor met Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz and even tagged the former on his Instagram stories.

In many F1 race weekends, celebrities from all across the globe flock to the paddock to meet drivers and watch the spectacle unfold. In this year's race in Baku, Smith was spotted visiting the paddock. He first met with his good friend Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes hospitality center and then went to Ferrari's garage to meet Leclerc and Sainz.

A video was posted by Ferrari's official Instagram handle showing the Hollywood star entering the garage and greeting everyone. He saw the SF-24's steering wheel and wore the team's headphones. Both the Ferrari drivers had a brief chat with Smith before heading out on the track.

Charles Leclerc had a great race weekend at Baku, with decent pace in the second and third practice sessions on Friday and Saturday. He then managed to stick it in pole position in the qualifying session, beating the likes of Oscar Piastri, and his teammate Carlos Sainz.

Will Smith said he will be supporting a multiple times F1 world champion at the 2024 F1 Azerbaijan GP

Will Smith recently said he will be backing seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton at the 2024 F1 Azerbaijan GP. After entering the paddock, F1's official social media team asked the Hollywood actor who he would be supporting this race weekend, responding to which, he said:

"Ah, Lewis is my guy. Lewis is my guy."

Lewis Hamilton and Will Smith have been friends for quite some time now. In 2018, both performed a hilarious skit where the actor strapped Hamilton to a chair and stole his car seat for one Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi. Ever since then, Smith has been supporting the now-seven-time world champion in F1.

In the 2024 Azerbaijan GP, Hamilton did not have the best qualifying session. The British driver was only able to secure P7 for Sunday's race. He is sandwiched between two of his rivals, Max Verstappen (P6) and Fernando Alonso (P8).
