Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher recently thanked the motorsport community for their heartwarming messages after he revealed that he was gay. The German posted yet another picture with his partner on his official Instagram account.

On July 14, Schumacher posted a picture with his male partner, revealing that he was homosexual. The picture was taken on a party yacht, with both the F1 driver and his partner watching a sunset with their arms around each other's backs.

The caption of the picture read:

"The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side with whom you can share everything."

Many in the F1 and motorsport community congratulated Ralf Schumacher for revealing his relationship to the world. He was also praised and supported by his son, David Schumacher, among others.

Seeing all the wholesome comments, Ralf Schumacher could not help but release another picture with his partner, thanking everyone for their messages. He also tagged his partner, Etienne, in the picture, who reposted both Schumacher's first and second pictures on his own Instagram stories.

In the caption, Michael Schumacher's younger brother stated that both he and his partner were delighted to see so many people congratulating them for their bond.

"Many thanks for the many congratulations and comments. We are very happy and thank you all," Ralf Schumacher wrote in his second post. [Translated from Instagram]

Former F1 world champion shows support towards Ralf Schumacher after the latter came out of the closet

Former F1 world champion Damon Hill was one of the people who extended his support to Ralf Schumacher, who recently came out of the closet.

Hill wrote a beautiful message from his official X account. The British driver commented that though he never had a close friendship with Schumacher when they were in F1, he was happy for the German.

Damon Hill also addressed how many are still sensitive about sexual inclinations in general, and added that if there is love and respect, there should not be any issues.

The Former F1 world champion concluded by referencing John Lennon's song name, Whatever Gets You Through the Night.

"Mate, I never really clicked with Ralf, but I'm happy he's happy, sincerely. We get our knickers in a twist about sexuality. It's not a choice, you either are or you aren't one way or another. As long as there is love and respect, it's cool. 'Whatever gets you through the night' Lennon," Hill wrote.

Both Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher raced with each other in F1 from 1997 to 1999, following which the former retired from the sport. They were also teammates in Jordan in the 1998 F1 season.
