Vettel retired from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. However, rumors of his potential return have resurfaced as Audi seeks a competitive driver for the 2026 season. The team will acquire Sauber in preparation for the new regulations. While they have secured Nico Hulkenberg, who will switch from Haas in 2025, they still need a second driver.

Recent comments from Mattia Binotto, who recently joined Sauber in the CTO capacity, intrigued fans. Binotto talked about Sebastian Vettel's strong driving skills, stating that he appreciates working with him.

"At some point, we will have to make a decision": Mattia Binotto after addressing Sebastian Vettel

"I’ve only been here for a few weeks," Binotto added. "I have to understand everything first, look around, listen, and at some point, we will have to make a decision."
