Lewis Hamilton recently teamed up with Bramble, a US-based start-up for dog food. Bramble specializes in making fresh vegan dog food, and Hamilton, as a plant-based diet advocate, did not miss out on the opportunity to invest in the start-up. However, the Mercedes driver faced a lot of criticism from fans on social media, as they believed Hamilton should not have turned his dog, Roscoe's diet into a plant-based one.

Like Lewis, Roscoe Hamilton also follows a strict plant-based diet. Hamilton, along with the vet he consults for Roscoe, eliminated all kinds of animal protein from the 12-year-old pet's diet. In doing so, the British driver claimed that Roscoe continued to glow more than before.

He reiterated the same when he collaborated with Bramble Pets and posted about it on his official Instagram account. Hamilton, through the post, shared how food from Bramble Pets brought out the best in Roscoe.

"It's made from clean ingredients, formulated by veterinary nutritionists, and has the science to back it up," Hamilton wrote on Instagram. "Most importantly Roscoe loves it. His energy levels are higher, his coat is shinier and his skin is healthier. It's like he's a puppy again."

However, fans on social media seemingly did not buy into his idea. Below are some reactions taken from micro-blogging site X,

"Vet here! How about we let dr. Google aside pls and believe me when I say. They are not omnivores. They are carnivores. Their digestive system is one of a carnivores. I am a assist prof with a phd. I teach anatomy," another stated.

"Yeahhh… as much as I like and respect Lewis, Roscoe should have meat in his diet," another wrote.
"He has a bulldog tho and they have many health problems (i have french bulldogs) honestly it may work for them but they aren’t vegan by choice no dog is," another fan expressed.
"Dogs are not omnivores, they are carnivore, I like Hamilton as a driver but he has gone full woke and it's ridiculous," wrote another fan about dogs' eating habits.

"Let’s be real, a dog needs more than just a smoothie to fuel its zoomies," another fan opined.

However, another section of fans refuted these claims, asserting that Lewis Hamilton, being a dedicated pet parent, would have conducted extensive research prior to altering his pet’s diet.

For a long time, Lewis Hamilton has been an advocate for a plant-based diet. This commitment has extended to his pet dog, Roscoe, who he has transitioned to a similar dietary regimen. The results have been encouraging, with Roscoe demonstrating positive responses to the dietary change.

Roscoe was reportedly suffering from allergies after he consumed animal protein. It not only hampered his lifestyle but also gave him skin infections and arthritis pain. However, things took a turn for the better when Hamilton and Roscoe's vet changed his diet to vegan.

"His coat is much softer, his swollen paws have healed up, he is no longer limping with pain of arthritis and his breathing has opened up," said Hamilton after the change in diet worked brilliantly on Roscoe.
