F1 fans were left marveling after Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won his fourth consecutive world championship at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Heading into the race, the Dutch driver only had to finish ahead of his title rival Lando Norris on the track, to take the title.

Starting the race from P5, the 27-year-old was in P2 before the first round of pitstops but fell back down the order as he did not have the pace to keep up with Lewis Hamilton and the Ferrari duo of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. However, his fifth-place finish ensured he crossed the line a four-time world champion.

Verstappen was audibly emotional on team radio as he said (via Sky Sports),

"Oh my god, man! What a season. Four times. Thank you guys. Thank you to everyone."

F1 posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) paying tribute to the Dutchman's achievement,

F1 fans shared their reactions in the replies to Max Verstappen taking home a fourth world title. One fan said,

"Haha. You can hear in his voice that this one meant so much more than the other three because it’s the closest he’s come to having a legitimate season."

Another fan said,

"As a Hamilton fan, I am proud that he proved that even if you have a fast car doesn't mean that you'll win. Norris had a spaceship that still bottled the championship."
"congrat Max Verstappen is the World Champion! He has done it again! There's no way anyone can catch up to him. Kudos to Max for another fantastic season, even with a few bumps along the way," said a fan.

Here are some more fan reactions:

"He needs to be in a Ferrari tho," said a fan.
"Thats what makes champions," said another.
"Really earned it this season!!! Congrats Max!!!! Legend!!!" wrote another.

"It was a little bit more difficult than last year but we pulled through and we gave it all. I never thought this was possible but thanks to you guys it is, so thanks again."

The Red Bull driver has won the title on a Saturday previously as well, as he won the 2023 championship in the Sprint race in Doha.
