On July 14, Schumacher posted a picture with his male partner on his official Instagram. They were on a party yacht and had their backs to the camera, enjoying a sunset with arms around their backs.

Ralf Schumacher's partner, Etienne, also reposted the picture on his own Instagram stories, revealing his relationship with the former F1 driver. The comment section of the picture was filled with wholesome reactions from the motorsport community.

Damon Hill also commented on Ralf Schumacher's recent announcement. The former F1 world champion said that though he never had a good friendship with the German when they were in F1, he was happy for him.

He talked about how people are sensitive about sexual inclinations in general. He then simplified it by saying that if there is love and respect, there should not be any issues. Damon Hill concluded by referencing John Lennon's song name, Whatever Gets You Through the Night.

"Mate, I never really clicked with Ralf, but I'm happy he's happy, sincerely. We get our knickers in a twist about sexuality. Its not a choice, you either are or you aren't one way or another. As long as there is love and respect, its cool. 'Whatever gets you through the night' Lennon," Hill wrote.

Many F1 fans praised the Former British F1 driver and labeled him as a poet. They also appreciated the John Lennon reference.
