Sauber driver Nico Hulkenburg says he feels ready for the big switch to Ferrari next year if he is presented the opportunity to replace Brazilian Felipe Massa. Asked during the Belgian Grand Prix about the rumors of him switching to Ferrari, the German replied, ” I would feel ready and I do feel ready”.
The German added that he is in talks with multiple teams and will evaluate all available options before making a decision on his future.
Hulkenburg switched from Force India to the Ferrari powered Sauber this year. He has managed to score only 7 points till date this season in comparison to the 63 points he scored last season. He will surely rethink about his decision to join the team after looking at Force India’s amazing performance this year.
It was reported that the Sauber team had failed to pay the German and he was on his way to quit the team before the Russian funding saved the Swiss based team.
Meanwhile Ferrari will make a decision after evaluating Massa’s performance at Spa and at the Italian Grand Prix in September.
