Virgin group head, Sir Richard Branson, went all out as he honoured the terms of a Formula One bet made with Caterham owner, Tony Fernandes. The bet, made in 2010, was when Branson owned the Virgin F1 team, now Marussia.
The duo had made the bet over which of their teams would end up higher in the constructor’s championship. The British honcho lost - and had to dress up as an air stewardess, legs shaved bare and in fishnet stockings, but with his famous beard still present, as he served passengers on the special fundraising flight from Perth to Kuala Lumpur, the proceeds of which went to the Starlight Foundation for ill children.
Branson had been unable to fulfil the terms of the bet earlier as he had been recovering from a broken leg.
