Red Bull driver and reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel maintained his winning run after winning the Korean Grand Prix on Sunday.
With the result Vettel could confirm his fourth title as soon as next week. Vettel face stiff competition from Lotus pair of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean but managed to snatch the win.
“I am extremely happy with the result. It was a great job by the team, we had two very good stops. I think it was quite good we had the Safety Car coming out; the first time we were just a couple of corners before the pit entry. Fortunately we had enough pace to always open up a little bit of a gap even though Kimi and Romain were pretty competitive the longer the stint was,” Vettel said.
“So I think they did maybe a little better job looking after their tyres but all in all, fantastic. I’m loving what I do, the team is fantastic. We all have a good time and just enjoy the moment,” he added.
Red Bull chief Christian Horner praised Vettel and said that the driver showed great discipline to earn the win.
“It was a great performance from Seb today. Very, very disciplined in tricky conditions because it was all about watching that front-right tyre and not doing too much damage to it,” he said.
