Three-time world champion Sebastian Vettel‘s relationship with Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber reached the brink after the ‘Multi- 21′ controversy at the Malaysian Grand Prix, but the German says he will miss the way both of them pushed each other to the limit.
Vettel told Austrian magazine Sportwoche: “You can say what you want about our relationship but in the end we pushed each other very hard. I will miss that.”
Even though Webber hasn’t achieved the kind of success that Vettel has, he is known to be one of the best drivers on the grid. Vettel said: “There has always been two or three corners where Mark has me biting my lip. You try to figure out what he is doing, which keeps you busy enough.”
The pair have clashed many times, but Vettel insists that, “even if it is perceived differently from the outside, it was important that I was always hungry”.
Mark Webber will be leaving Formula 1 to join Porsche from next year to race in an endurance championship.
