As per his manager Steve Robertson , Kimi and Mclaren were unable to reach an agreement , causing him to remain out of racing at the F1 level atleast for 1 year. He earlier also from 2002 to 2006 was with Mclauren Mercedes before moving to Ferrari in 2007 where he won the drivers’ championship.
While Kimi cannot reach an contract with Mclaren , Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi have get their contracts extended for Force India team next season.
