Lewis Hamilton took his first ever F1 pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday, after Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg locked up on his final qualifying attempt. The British driver held provisional pole after the first run in Q3 and went on to better his laptimes by two tenths of a second, to bring Rosberg's pole run around the Principality to a halt. Sebastian Vettel could only manage third position, after topping FP3 earlier this morning, with cooling positions playing to the strength of rivals Mercedes. Both Red Bulls made it into the top five, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen sixth and Sergio Perez an excellent seventh for Force India.
