When the wheel-to-wheel racing is this good, who needs a working group to improve the show? The Hungarian Grand Prix provided us with a thrilling climax, the roots of which were laid during the first two safety car periods. Daniel Ricciardo emerged as the surprise winner, overtaking the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso who spent nearly half the race on a single set of soft tyres. Lewis Hamilton drove a superb race to classify third ahead of teammate and title rival Nico Rosberg, who was unlucky with the timing of the two safety cars.
