F1 raced in Las Vegas for the first time in over four decades at the end of the 2023 season. The new layout saw cars racing on the iconic Las Vegas Strip and several other iconic parts of the city. The layout was fast, fun, and long. However, it wasn't and will not be the longest circuit on the calendar.
Below is the list of the five longest F1 circuits on the 2024 calendar:
#1 Spa Franchorchamps - 7.007 km
The iconic Spa Franchorchamps track in Belgium has been on the calendar since the inception of the F1 World Championships. It is one of the most recognizable tracks in the world of motorsports and also the longest with 7.007 km in length.
It features some of the most daring corners such as the Eau Rogue and Radillon, the Bus Stop chicane, and Poulon.
#2 Las Vegas F1 track - 6.201 km
The new layout for the Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023 saw some amazing overtaking and breathtaking action from start to finish. Previously, the sport raced in the Caeser's Palace car park when it came in the 1980s.
However, the new track layout which is over 6.201 km in length features walls and a purpose-built track area owned by F1.
#3 Jeddah International track - 6.174 km
The sport first raced at the Jeddah International Circuit in Saudi Arabia at the end of the 2021 season. It is called the fastest street track on the calendar given the proximity of the walls and the high-speed nature of the circuit. It Is the third-longest track on the calendar with 6.174 km in distance.
The three editions of the Saudi Arabian GP have been some of the best racing action of recent years with overtakes galore.
#4 Baku International Circuit - 6.003 km
The fan-favorite Baku International Circuit has been on the F1 calendar since the 2016 season and has produced some of the best races of recent years.
The track features the old city of Baku and a huge start-finish straight which is the longest on the calendar consisting of 2 km. The track itself is 6.003 km in length and consists of three DRS zones.
#5 Silverstone - 5.891 km
The home of Formula 1 has been on the calendar since the very first season and is one of the oldest tracks in motorsports. With 5.891 km in length, the track is seeped in history and tradition with each corner having its name.
Throughout the years it has seen some of the most iconic moments in history and produced legendary moments.
