One of the top-notch German racers of all time - no wonder he is nicknamed baby Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel presently drives in Formula One for the Scuderia Ferrari team. He has won the Formula One drivers World Championship title four times in a row (2010-13) with his former team, Red Bull Racing. He is acknowledged as one of the exceptional drivers in the history of the sport by his fellow competitors and his fans around the world. Vettel has signed a 3-year contract with Ferrari, which has been extended till the end of 2020.
In 2007, the world of F1 racing witnessed an absolutely amazing talent when the German hero made his debut at 2007 United States Grand Prix, eventually acclaiming the title of youngest pole sitter and race winner at 2008 Italian Grand Prix to his credit.
#1 Conquering Adversities- 2008 Italian Grand Prix
Remembering Vettel's Toro Rosso days, he not only battled the appalling condition but came out as a hero in the end. He started behind the safety car due to the heavy showers at the start of the race, the decision taken by the FIA under safety grounds.
Once the safety car came in, he maintained his lead throughout the race and emerged on the top when the chequered flag came out. Low visibility and wet track were a huge hindrance but not to this decisive warrior who became the youngest ever race winner which signaled his achievements to come.
#2 Way to go champion, Vettel- 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
No one even in their dreams would have thought despite facing a bit of jinx and hardship, the brave German would bag the title. He was disqualified by the FIA as he ran out of fuel on his in-lap during the Qualifying and was asked to start from pits for the race which lowered his chances of achieving even a single point in the race. Vettel executed some well-timed overtakes during the course of the race and was able to make it to the last step of the podium. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was truly an admirable feat.
#3 Superseding all- Singapore Grand Prix 2013
Vettel is known for completely dominating his races on many occasions and there couldn't have been a better time when he displayed all of it again. This was known as his most dominant win where he achieved his third "Grand Chelem" or "Grand Slam" that is the pole position, leading every lap of the race, posting the fastest lap and eventually victory in the Singapore Grand Prix 2013. Despite the safety car deployed during the course of the race, he won by a margin of half a minute ahead of Fernando Alonso, driving for Ferrari.
#4 Vettel's most Gripping race- 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix
With a much quicker car and a 13-point lead in the world championship. The Brazilain Grand Prix, the final race of that season, where he qualified only fourth and Alonso eighth. The German only needed to finish in his grid position even if the Ferrari driver won.
The very beginning of this race couldn't have been worse for the world champion, with rain beginning to fall he had a collision with Bruno Senna at turn four forcing him into a spin and facing the wrong way and to top it all- a big hole on the side of his Red Bull thereby dropping him to the tail end of the field. He decided not to give up and the world witnessed him managing a remarkable comeback in a dramatic manner. He also had a tough competition from Alonso in his Ferrari who managed to finish in the second place whereas skills, bravery and sheer pace of his car gave Vettel the top position and his third Formula1 drivers World Championship title.
#5 Victorious all the way- 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix
The Master, Sebastian Vettel clinched his 40th victory at 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix and he got the First win for Ferrari since the Spanish Grand Prix of 2013. In an ongoing battle with Mercedes drivers Hamilton and Rosberg, the trio kept on exchanging the top position several times on track but a unique strategy brought Vette the win. While the Mercedes drivers opted for a 3 stopper and Vettel was able to pull a 2 stopper strategy managing his tyre's better than his rivals. Hence it would not be wrong if he is named as one of the most awe-inspiring Formula One racing driver of all times.
