It's hard to believe that he's still just in his early twenties because when you think Max Verstappen you think of a legitimate title contender, a once in a generation talent and arguably a Sureshot future World Champion. He's breathtakingly fast and on his day it's hard to pinpoint anyone who could beat him.
By the end of last season, he pretty much stamped his authority over Daniel Ricciardo after consistently beating him since his crash at Monaco. But having said that why does Max find himself at third? It has more to do with the mental aspect for him than anything. The only chinks in Max's armor come from the fact that he's still very young and probably a bit too volatile for his own good which sometimes leads to mistakes. In due time he will iron that out as well but for now, he finds himself at 3rd.
