Turkish GP : Qualifying

Red bull certainly gives you wings . What else can we say about the stunning dominance of the red bull team during qualifying in this f1 season . If the team could have matched their qualifying performances with their performances during the race , Red Bull would have already had one hand on the constructers championship . If the early part of the season belonged to the unstoppable German known as Sebastien Vettel , the current part of the season no doubt belongs to Mark Webber . A driver who has always been overshadowed by others . A racer who has immense potential but have not been able to translate it to race victories .

Turkish Gp Qualifying

Mark Webber has clinched pole position in Turkey for the third consecutive time this season . This makes the red bull team probably the only team to clinch 7 straight poles in the first seven races . Webber narrowly edged out McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton by 0.138seconds with a lap of one minute 26.295secs. Hence webber became the first Australian after Sir Jack Brabham to achieve this feat .The second row is also a Red Bull Mclaren showdown with Vettel and Button clinching third and fourth position respectively . this has also been Mclaren’s best qualifying campaign this season. The third row is an all German and an all Mercedes affair with legendary Michael Schumacher and the promising Nico Rosberg filling up the spots .Then comes Robert Kubica in his Renault at seventh , outperforming his team mate again who was ninth . Ferrari who are having a dismal run these days again fared poorly with Felippe Massa eighth and Fernando Alonso 12th having been unsuccessful in making the cut for Q3 .Not good news for force india fans as both the cars failed to make the cut in Q3. Adrian Sutil will start in front of Alonso in 11th spot whereas Vitantonio Liuzzi who has not been making full use of the chance to drive in a fairly competitive car in 17th . the entire list is as follows : -

PREDICTIONS : Can webber do it 3 times in a row ? yes , its highly possible . But the buzz is that this is the first time where mclaren and red bull are going head to head with all 4 cars locked down in the first two rows. Although red bull have been superior in qualifying , mclaren have been equally good in the races . Plus they have the KERS . Hence the first lap is going to be crucial. However I believe that there would be a red bull 1-2 at the checquered flag .
