Sebastian Vettel, while speaking to Welt am Sonntag newspaper on June 3rd, admitted that he is not sure if the idea of having Kimi Raikkonen as his teammate next year is “realistic”.
The statement was based on speculation that Red Bull may want to replace Mark Webber who fell out badly with world champion Vettel over the ‘Multi-21′ affair, with Kimi Raikkonen.
Vettel, who shares a genial camaraderie with Raikkonen, said that he didn’t think it would be practical to share the Red Bull garage with fellow world champion Raikkonen.
He also added that while both the players got along quite well, the propagated concept of them as ‘best friends’ is exaggerated.
During the ‘Multi-21′ controversy, Vettel let the world get a glimpse of his true nature, when he stated that he didn’t allow Webber to win in Malaysia because the Australian didn’t “deserve” it.
“The image of me that existed before that day was simply wrong,” said the triple world champion.
“Malaysia opened the eyes of many in this regard,” Vettel admitted.
