As one of the perks of his day job, Fernando Alonso has been driving the new LaFerrari supercar at the Fiorano test track in Maranello. The car has a 6.3-litre V12 engine and an F1-style KERS to produce a total of 950bhp, 664lb ft of torque and a top speed of 217mph.
The car is in direct competition with McLaren’s P1 that Jenson Button drove at the launch of the MP4-28 earlier this year.
