Last week, Lewis Hamilton crashed into the barriers at Turn One after 18 laps at the Jerez Testing of the new cars that have been launched. In a day that accounted for less than a 100 laps, with only six drivers competing a timed run, Hamilton’s crash was the highlight of the day.
Hamilton said that his “heart was in his mouth” when asked about the unfortunate incident.
Hamilton said: “When the car doesn’t stop when you’re braking, it’s always heart in your mouth – but I’ve had it a few times in my career, so I’m all right.”
