Stoffel was given a hammering by Alonso throughout the season

A scoreline of 21-0 in qualifying in favor of his teammate. A points tally of 50-12 again in favor of his teammate.

Even if the teammate is the illustrious two-time World CHampion Fernando Alonso, the readings still look horrible.

2018 season could prove to be a career killer for Vandoorne because it is very tough to see how bounces back from this and can salvage even a seat in formula one in the future.

As a result of his below-par performance this year, Stoffel has been chucked out of the Mclaren team and will be taking part in Formula-E next season.

It's a sad end to someone who was touted to be such a big talent and a driver who would take McLaren to glory in future.

Could he have been given another year is questionable but now Stoffel needs to put his head down and start performing to try and reciprocate what Magnussen did after getting the boot from Mclaren?
