While Afghanistan was impressive with bat and ball in the two ODIs, Ireland seems clueless with the likes of Hazratullah Zazai and Mujeeb ur Rahman running riot.

A win for Afghanistan should see them obtain an unassailable lead while for Ireland, it is now on never as they seek their first win of what has been a disappointing tour so far.

Playing XI Updates

Afghanistan

No changes are expected of the side that played in the second ODI with Sayed Shirzad and Ali Khil set to keep their places.

Ireland hasn't been able to apply themselves against the spin troika of Mujeeb, Nabi and Rashid. Hazratullah Zazai's form bodes for Afghanistan with the experience of Ashgar Afghan and Mohammed Nabi bound to come in handy on Tuesday.

Possible XI: Zazai, Ghani, Rahmat, Ashgar(C), Shahidi, Nabi, Ali Khil(WK), Naib, Rashid, Mujeeb and Shirzad.

Ireland

James Cameron-Dow could be dropped for Barry McCarthy or James McCollum while the rest of the side should remain the same.

The Irish bowlers were slightly better with their lines and lengths in the second ODI with Andy McBrine putting out a good performance alongside George Dockrell. The spin-duo picked up five wickets between them and will be pivotal to their chances of upstaging a formidable Afghan side.

Paul Stirling is in good form but needs support for the other senior players as they are set to resume their battle with Rashid and Mujeeb on Tuesday.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions

Wicket-keeper

Stuart Poynter is the preferred option with uncertainty over Ali Khil's place in the side. Poynter has been decent with the bat in hand on this tour and is sure to score some vital runs to Ireland's cause.

Batsmen

Hazratullah Zazai and Paul Stirling are must have players in the side while the likes of Andy Balbirnie and Rahmat Shah are also great options, batting at number three for their respective sides.

Rahmat Shah has been one of Afghanistan's most consistent batsmen over the last year and should be backed to come up with a good performance.

All-rounders

Mohammed Nabi and Gulbadin Naib bring in much-needed balance to the Afghanistan side with their ability to score quick runs along with a few wickets to their name.

Both of them are great options to have in the side while one of Simi Singh or Kevin O'Brien should complete the all-rounders' department.

Bowlers

Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rahman and Boyd Rankin have been the standout bowlers of this series so far and should be backed to pick a wicket or two.

Mujeeb ur Rahman has troubled the Irish with his off-spin, making him one to watch out for. George Dockrell is also a viable option and could be picked at the expense of Boyd Rankin

Mohammad Nabi was the star in the recently concluded T20I series with brilliant performances with bat and ball. Along with Zazai and Stirling, Nabi is one of the front-runners for captaincy.
