New Zealand and Sri Lanka face off in the 15th match of the ICC Women's T20I World Cup 2024 on Saturday, October 12, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

New Zealand is still in the driver's seat to qualify out of Group A alongside Australia despite their heavy 60-run defeat to the Aussies in their last outing. Their win against India means that their final two group games are against Sri Lanka and Pakistan against whom, on paper, the White Ferns are the stronger side.

They will, however, be very wary of a wounded Sri Lankan side that has nothing to lose. Chamari Athapaththu and Co. have had a woeful campaign, and play their last outing with three losses in three, all of them by significant margins. They will look to play for pride and leave this tournaments with their head high.

On that note, let's look at the top three Dream11 captaincy picks from this fixture.

#3 Lea Tahuhu (BOWL) (NZ)

New Zealand seamer Lea Tahuhu is a quality Dream11 captaincy pick for this match. The right-arm pacer is the leader of New Zealand's pace battery and has picked up three wickets in this tournament so far, all of them coming in their opening fixture against India.

Tahuhu has a solid record playing against Sri Lanka, and has picked up eight wickets against them at a stellar economy rate of 4.45 and bowling average of 12.2.

The Sri Lankan batting unit has been very fragile and has looked vulnerable to quality pace bowling. The experienced and accurate Tahuhu is sure to be among the wickets in this match and is a valuable Dream11 option.

#2 Chamari Athapaththu (ALL) (SL)

Chamari Athapaththu has had a dreadful T20 World Cup so far, with the Sri Lankan captain not crossing single-digits with the bat in any of her three innings. While she has fared slightly better with the ball, her struggles mirror those of Sri Lanka, with the Asia Cup 2024 winners unable to leave their mark on this competition.

However, Chamari will want her side to go out with a bang and play for pride in this match. Chamari will be a lethal weapon with the ball on a Sharjah surface that assists spinners. While she hasn't scored many runs with the bat in this tournament, everyone knows what she's capable of, and as an opener, her points ceiling is very high.

While she hasn't delivered big yet, Chamari certainly has the potential to do so and is a Dream11 must-have.

#1 Amelia Kerr (ALL) (NZ)

This one's a no-brainer. New Zealand's talisman Amelia Kerr was back to her best with the ball against Australia, spinning a web around the Aussie batters, and finishing with wonderful figures of 4/26 in four overs. She'll definitely back herself to match or better her performance against the Sri Lankan batters in a venue that she clearly loves bowling at.

She was also their highest run-scorer with the bat, and coming in at No.3, she can play some very long innings. Her points potential off the charts and Amelia Kerr is likely to be, and rightly so, the most-captained Dream11 player in this fixture.
