Lee Kiefer is an American Professional Fencer. She competes in the Foil Fencing category and is a right-hand fencer. Kiefer was born on June 15, 1994, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was raised in the town of Lexington, Kentucky. Her mother is Teresa Kiefer, a Philippines-born psychiatrist and her father is Steve Kiefer, a neurosurgeon and a former fencer where he captained the fencing team of Duke University.
Kiefer attended the University of Notre Dame, one of the most famous Universities for Fencing. Later, she enrolled in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, following in the footsteps of her parents who have both made careers in the medical discipline. Kiefer stands at 1.63 m (5 ft 4 in) and weighs around 49 kg (108 lb).

Lee Kiefer Olympic Gold Medals Wins
Lee Kiefer won a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Individual Women’s Foil category. She scored 96 points in the category, while the silver medalist Inna Deriglazova from Russia scored 78 points. Kiefer became the first American, male or female, to clinch the top spot on the Olympic podium in Individual Foil Fencing.

Lee Kiefer Olympic Apperances
Lee Kiefer has represented the USA in the 2012 London Olympics, the 2016 Rio Olympics, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and is set to represent the country again in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In 2012, she finished fifth in Individual fencing and sixth in the Team Fencing category. In 2016, she did not qualify for Team Fencing and finished tenth in Individual Fencing. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Team USA finished fourth in Women’s Foil Team Fencing but Kiefer brought home a gold medal in the Women’s Foil Fencing Individual category.
