#5 Gareth Bale averaged a goal every 84 minutes this season
When Tottenham Hotspur signed Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid last summer, there was a lot of excitement. However, the Welshman's injury problems wouldn't let him feature regularly for his former club. Jose Mourinho did not seem to be a big fan of his either.
But he has been an impact signing nonetheless. Bale scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 20 Premier League appearances, of which only 10 were starts.
#4 Arsenal fail to qualify for Europe for the first time in 25 years
After winning the FA Cup in the 2019-20 season, Arsenal seem to have regressed this term. They endured a horrid start to the season but improved greatly after Boxing Day. Only Manchester City and Manchester United have won more points in the Premier League than Arsenal since Boxing Day.
But that wasn't enough to help them qualify for the Europa League. This is the first time in 25 years that they haven't qualified for Europe.
#3 Harry Kane finished the season as both top scorer and top assister in the league
Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed a bright start to the season with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min firing on all cylinders. However, the team suffered as the season dragged on but even though his teammates' form started to fade, Kane kept going. He was scoring goals and creating them.
It's a pity that despite having a striker as good and productive as Kane on their payroll, Spurs could only manage to finish seventh in the Premier League table.
#2 Manchester United finished the 2020/21 Premier League season without conceding a single defeat away from home
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has proven to be the right manager to take Manchester United forward. Though their home record could use some improvement, the Red Devils have been unstoppable on the road in the Premier League ever since football restarted after the Covid-19 break.
They carried that form into the 2020-21 season and Manchester United have gone the entire campaign without conceding a loss away from home.
