#9 Scoring 15 UCL goals for the third time in his career
Date - 11 April 2018
It turned out to be that Ronaldo's dramatic injury time penalty in the 3-1 loss to Juventus broke not one but two records, as it took the 33-year-old to 15 goals in last season's tournament, which was enough to see him finish as the Champions League top scorer for the 6th consecutive season (shared jointly with Messi and Neymar in 2015)
Ronaldo is the only player to have scored 15+ goals in a single Champions League season, which he first achieved in 2014 (17). Incredibly, he has gone on to record this feat a further two times (2016 and last season).
To put that in perspective, Ronaldo outscored European giants such as Atletico Madrid (5), Manchester United (12), while scoring the same number as Chelsea did in the Champions League last season which underlies just how dominant the Portuguese is when it comes to Europe's premier club competition.
