#5 Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool/Barcelona)
Barcelona paid Liverpool ridiculous amounts of money to sign Philippe Coutinho in January and if the initial few performances are anything to go by, he might well be worth the reported £142 million fee. The Brazilian playmaker has been in fine form this season and for his excellent performances with Liverpool in the first half of this season, he is ranked 5th on this list.
Capable of gliding past opponents and playing decisive through balls, the Brazilian playmaker has scored an impressive 15 goals and further assisted 8 more this season. Blessed with excellent dribbling ability and a thunderous right foot shot, Coutinho is seen as the long-term heir to Andres Iniesta at the Camp Nou.
After starting slowly at Barcelona, Coutinho in the recent weeks has linked up excellently with the likes of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi and it will be interesting to see what kind of an impact the 25-year-old will have at Barcelona next season.
