Dimitri Oberlin impressed a lot of potential suitors with his fantastic UEFA Champions League group stage performances for FC Basel.

In six appearances, four starts, Oberlin found the back of the net four times against top opposition in CSKA Moscow and Benfica.

The Swiss international’s pace is electrifying, highlighted by one of his goals scored against Benfica. The Portuguese team whipped in a free kick into the area which was quickly cleared from danger by none other than Oberlin.

Immediately after heading it away, he sets off with an immense turn of speed and makes his way from one end of the pitch to the other. He eventually gets put through one-on-one with the goalkeeper who cannot stop Oberlin’s shot. It was a perfect example of his composure and speed all in one move.

Oberlin has a very bright future for whoever signs him - he certainly has the speed and finishing capabilities to be a menace anywhere he goes.
