Bayern Munich have been one of the most consistent teams in Europe's top five leagues over the years.
The Bavarian giants look good for a tenth consecutive Bundesliga title, leading the points table by three points after six games this season. In the Champions League, Bayern won 3-0 at Barcelona. Unsurprisingly, Robert Lewandowski, once again, has been among the goals, scoring 11 times already this season.
Last season, Lewandowski broke the late Gerd Muller's record for the most goals (40) in a Bundesliga campaign. That helped Bayern win their ninth league title on the trot.
There was to be no repeat of their treble-winning 2019-20 campaign, though. That's because Bayern were eliminated by PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals, while they lost in the second round of the DFB Pokal.
#2 PSG - 31

PSG are already reaping the benefits of assembling a star-studded roster this summer. Just eight league games into the season, the Parisians are already a whopping nine points clear of the rest.
In the Champions League, though, PSG were held to a 1-1 draw at Club Brugges, while they were also beaten by Lille in the Trophee Des Champions final. Kylian Mbappe and Ander Herrera are their top scorers this season, scoring four goals across competitions.
Last season, PSG's indifferent league form saw them get pipped to the Ligue 1 title by Lille. They did win the Coupe de France, though, beating Monaco in the final. PSG also won the Trophee Des Champions, beating Marseille.
However, the Ligue 1 giants were beaten by Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals after making the competition's final a year ago.

Manchester City have been one of the best teams in Europe this year, despite only having the Premier League title to show for their efforts.
The Cityzens have recovered from an opening-day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur to move second in the league table after a 1-0 win at Chelsea. They have made a winning start to their Champions League campaign as well, beating Leipzig 6-3.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's men have opened their EFL Cup campaign with a 6-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers. Riyad Mahrez is their top scorer this season, scoring four times across competitions.
City lost four league games in the second half of the season. But they had done enough to hold off Manchester United and win their third league title in four years.
Guardiola's men's hopes of a quadruple were dashed, though, as they were beaten by Chelsea in the Champions League final and the FA Cup semi-final. Earlier in the season, City had beaten Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup final.
