Lee O’Connor is one of the best Irish talents to come through recently and has been a revelation in defence and midfield. Having represented the Republic of Ireland at the Under-17 level, O’Connor has been a regular in the Under-18 side this season.

The 16-year-old has made great strides in the Under-18 side and this has helped him get a place in the Warren Joyce's reserve side. This step will definitely go a long way in his aim to make it to the senior side.

O’Connor came to the limelight when he scored a brilliant solo goal for Ireland U-17 against Turkey U-17 last month. The Irishman, who was playing at the heart of the defence, carried the ball all the way from well within his own half and fired a shot past the Turkish goalkeeper.
