#7 Santiago Cazorla – €19 million
Santi Cazorla was brought to Arsenal from Malaga in the summer of 2012 for €19 million. A technically brilliant midfielder, feared for being truly two-footed with his trickeries and dummies, Cazorla took no time to adjust to English football.
He created a plethora of chances at the No 10 position and created a record by amassing 4 assists in one Premier League game against Wigan. Ozil was signed one year later and Cazorla was pushed out wide but his link-up plays made him equally lethal.
Since 2015, he has been put into a new role in central midfield beside a defensive midfielder and has blossomed in this position. He is the one who controls the play with his passing and fantastic vision, and particularly received accolades for his performance at the Etihad in a 2-0 win over defending champions City.
