#9 Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus) – €75 million

Gonzalo Higuain was on fire last year. The Argentine almost singlehandedly guided Napoli to the Serie A title scoring an almost unbelievable 36 goals in 35 appearances before sealing a controversial move to Juventus for a fee of €90 million.

While many eyebrows were raised at the amount paid for the 29-year-old Argentine, Higuain with his performances for Juventus this season has shown that he is worth every penny the Old Lady spent on him.

At Juventus, Higuain has hit his straps almost immediately. 22 goals in 32 appearances along with a goal against old club Napoli has seen him quickly win over the Bianconeri Ultras and the addition of the Argentine striker has made Juventus one of Europe’s top clubs again.

The Serie A giants will be hoping that Higuain guides them to both domestic an European success this season.
