#5 Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal (Premier League 08/02/2014)
Arsenal went into the match in good form and surprisingly they were at the top of the table. But Liverpool made a mockery of the Gunners by defeating them in empathic style as they scored four goals within the first twenty minutes of the game.
Martin Skrtel scored twice from set pieces, Raheem Sterling hit a brace and Daniel Sturridge added another one to complete the misery for Arsenal. A Mike Arteta's penalty in the second half was the only consolation for the traveling team.
Had Arsenal won this game they would have been able to mount a serious challenge for the title. Something they haven't done in a long time. But instead, they bottled it and they bottled it really bad, and that is why it so humiliating and painful for their fans.
The defeat was far more comprehensive than the scoreline suggests and Liverpool managed to do so at a time when they were mainly a one-man show in Luis Suarez. And the Uruguayan did not even score in that game.
