#9 Thomas Müller – €25m increase to €75m
The German forward was ever-present in the media’s transfer rumour mills last summer with many reports suggesting that Louis van Gaal was chasing the Bayern Munich forward to add some world class quality to his attacking lineup. But Muller himself came out and quashed all rumours.
“I feel well at Bayern and my contract runs till 2019. There is nothing more to say about these speculations.” – Muller last summer.
The 26-year-old is not one to be enticed by high wages or the allure of the Premier League. A Bavarian through and through, it will take more than just that to prise him away from the Allianz Arena.
Apart from scoring 9 goals for Germany in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, he has also scored 31 goals for Die Roten in all competitions this season, making him a valuable asset to the club who have dominated the Bundesliga in the last four seasons.
