#6 Kostas Manolas

After joining Roma from Olympiakos in a 15 million Euro switch in 2014, Greek central defender Manolas has been a rock at the back for AS Roma. He began the 2017/18 season weighing up a possible move to FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. He had played regularly throughout the previous campaign making 45 appearances in all, but this was a potentially lucrative move and it would result in a reunion with his close friend and former Roma teammate Leandro Paredes.
But nevertheless, he stayed and was in a Roma side that finished 3rd in the 2017/18 season, conceded just 28 goals in 38 games and reached their first Champions League semi-final since 1984. Manolas is a tough, uncompromising and reliable centre back who has played many games for Roma since his switch from Olympiakos.
In this day and age when defenders regularly go for upwards of 50 million Pounds, it is hard to believe that the 24-year-old could be snapped up for as little as his 33 million Pound release clause. Top clubs, take note.
